1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no connection to a government office. We neither store official criminal records nor retrieve records, conduct official checks, or submit documents for a user.

The site identifies custodians for Maverick County records, including the sheriff and jail, the proper court clerks, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. It may also display tools run by outside providers.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

• Use the site in violation of federal, Texas, or local law
• Stalk, threaten, or harass a person using information found here
• Use site content for a credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decision
• Attempt unauthorized access to our systems or restricted functions
• Deploy a bot, scraper, or other automated collection tool against the pages

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 62 governs registration and public registry data, while Texas Government Code Chapter 411 governs specified criminal-history dissemination. 4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Our advertising partners do not turn this site into a service for regulated screening. You agree not to use information from this site or a linked tool to:

• Set insurance eligibility or premiums
• Make a credit or lending decision
• Evaluate an applicant for employment
• Assess a person for a tenancy or housing opportunity
• Make any other decision governed by the FCRA

A person who needs a check for a legally regulated purpose must use the proper official channel or an FCRA-compliant consumer reporting agency.

5. No Legal Advice

Texas law governs these terms, and any dispute tied to site use must be brought in a court located in Texas. For clarity, the Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, concerns records held by public bodies, while Government Code Chapter 411 governs access to and dissemination of specified criminal-history record information. Those statutes do not make this private site a Maverick County agency or an official DPS repository.

14. Severability
